SGMC’s main campus ED has an on-site helipad for rapid transfer of patients with life-threatening conditions. The ED is a Certified Primary Stroke Center. SGMC also has the only open heart surgery program in the region. The Stroke Team and Cardiovascular Team treat many life-threatening emergencies right here in Valdosta.
